well today my right side started to make a funny noise..when i would hit a bump is would make a sound like a lookse tire...and when i would give it gas it made a vibrating noise...

i jacked it up and rocked the tire with my hands and it has a bit of play..

like if your lug nuts were looses...i checked the ball joint and nothing, so it must be the hub, which i just replaced the left one 3 weeks ago..

if i were to do the job myself how long would it take about..im looking at the haynes manual and it looks pretty stright foward

Check your tie rods first.
As far as changing the hub assembly, the first time will take you about 1 hour, after that, it will only take you about 40 minutes, working slow.
This is definately something that you can do yourself.

Def check tierods and allso the half shaft. If the cv is gone, you will have alot of play

thanks, i'll bring it to my shop teacher and see what the problem it

i was juast thinking about this, why would my hub shake? i dont think a bad cv joint or tie rod would make my hub shack..

i thought the hub was bolted down with 3 bolts

Sound slike your hub is loose. I think if it was just replaced maybe the bolts are coming loose. WHo replaced it? Don;t drive it much until you get this looked at, my buddy caused 1500 worth of damage to his vehicle when he lost a wheel at high speed.

well i took everthing off today but the hub..i loosend the hub boltsso its easyer to get at tommrow...my hub was bolted tight...

its only like 1/16" or 1/32" of play, i can see the the inner part of the move..

im only going to drive it to my school, its only a 4 1/2 minute drive at 50 KPH

oh and it is a easy replacement, it only took me 15 mintues to take everthing off and loosen the hub bolts..

so im going to get my teacher to make sure its my hub then order one
