Is my tranny going?

A4LD of course. 89K miles. I drive really hard.
When cold the tranny will slip from the 1-2, & sometimes from 2-3 upshifts. If it's been running for a while though it stops slipping.
I had a tranny flush & that didn't help it. The fluid is not burnt & is normal color, & is at the correct level.

Guess it is gone. Got worse the last few days. It's not really too drivable now.

Your A4LD may not be as bad off as you think. You could be eexperiencing some governor issues, and your valve body may need to be rebuilt. I'd lay you 50/50 odds that doing that and adjusting the bands might well fix your problem. There are DIY threads on here all about both of those things.

When it comes to that I'm not a DIY person. I don't have the time, space, tools, or paintance to take on a project like that. It's not my daily driver so I'll let it sit a while till I can get around to having it worked on.
