That are in cities say 2 hours from you? My favorite station is in Dallas (102.1 The Edge) and I can only listen to it when I'm on the internet or in/around dallas. Is there anyway to get this station in my car even though I'm 2 hours from dallas?

Really, is there a way?

The only way you're gonna get it in your vehicle is to pick it up via the internet (if it's available that way). FM signals are "line of sight" transmissions, which means you have to be roughly within the line of sight of a transmitter or repeater to receive the signal, so unless you have a repeater near you that transmits it or you have the internet in your vehicle, you're SOL.

How expensive is it to get internet in your car?

Not to sure about the whole internet thing. But about the signals, chances are that your radio station isn't authorized to use that frequency in a certain area, so chances are that the signal isn't even around for you to pick up. You will just pick up whoever has the strongest signal on that frequency.

The internet idea wouldnt be very cost effective if you were just going to be using it for picking up radio stations... If you dont like the radio in your area try XM or sirius, they both offer tons of different stations to listen to... As for your internet question you would need some sort of PC to run the internet, from there you would need a monitor to display the internet and wiring the whole system up is a mess and a pain, if you have a ton of wiring and computers experience you could probably pull it off... but even then you would need a cell phone to run the internet and you would be lucky to get 28000 kbs with that connection, I doubt even the lowest quality station would be able to play constantly from that speed.... If it sounds like something you're interested in and it can be really cool if you get it all set up right, check out this site MP3 Car they are very helpful when it comes to putting a system like this together.
