How hard is it to install this lift the Front does not seam to hard but what about the Rear... My Frind has a 92 EB 2dr that he wants to lift and He said he wants a 3" body Lift. I did not recomend him to do the body lift. I suggested the 2.5 James duff for the Same price as the 3" body installed andI would help him install it. Plus there is no one in town that does suspention lift so I would have to do it mySelf. Am I suggeting the Right thing?

Kris,
I just did the 2.5" lift from James Duff. I wrote a message on here right after I finished. Its not hard... BUT... it takes time.. It took us a total of 14 hours (you need 2 people). If your Radius Arm Brackets are still rivoted(sp?) on you can expect it to take longer. Even if they are not rivoted on you will need to grind off 4 rivots to remove one of the axle pivot brackets. The front is actually harder than the rear. When do you plan to do this? I am writing up an install article for it (almost done) and if you are planning to do it soon I'll make it a point to try to finish it this weekend.

The message I wrote is in this conference and is titled "Random Ramblings after Installing 2.5" JD lift "

If you want to talk on the phone instead just shoot me off an email let me know. I can explain it better talking than writing (I'm no writer)

When I did my JD lift, I took my truck to a friend with a torch (wheel alignment shop) and paid him 1 hrs labor ($40) to torch off all of my rivots and replace them with bolts. Made the install way easier. Still took alot of time and grunt work but not mentally taxing. Good luck!

ps. make sure to change your axle pivot bushings while your in there!

Cheers

Dale
