Has anybody had issues with sagging springs from JDI? I just installed a new 5.5" front lift kit on my 91 ex and I'm only getting about 4" of lift, while I have a full 6" in the rear.

Care to share the answers because I'm about to buy a kit?

I second the notion! I'm installing the kit as we speak!

Never had the issue on my smaller lift. The springs they make are progressive rate coils so they get stiffer as the col compresses. They might have sent you softer BII or Ranger coils.

i have the 5.5 progressive rates as well.. i was way low in the front (2") and im thinking its due to the weight of my front bumper (400 LB) so i simply went to a guy i know and had him cut me some 1 1/2" steel spacers to get it right.. the springs imo from james duff absolutely suck for wheeling, im not looking for ride quality cause i barely drive it on the road, i just want something thats gonna give me the lift i need.. and i actually compared my old 4" skyjacker with the new 5.5" duff spring and the uncompressed length difference was only 3/4".. point is, if u have a heavy bumper and wanna go real high like me (7" suspension, 3" body) u might wanna find spacers or look at an alternative spring
