Sorry if it's been asked before but do Jeeps have the same stud pattern as my 99 Explorer ?if so, can you see a problem if I were to put some on ?
My main reason for asking is my wheels are quite badly corroded (poor lacquer on the UK Northface edition )and there are so many more Jeeps over here in the UK it would be easier/cheaper for me to find some Jeep wheels to replace them with

Thanks as always
Dave ;)

Yes they have the same the same bolt pattern but I'm not sure on things like backspacing and offset so you'd probably wanna test fit them before buying.

Yup.. my wheels came off a Jeep Wrangler.

I think he means stock wheels though. But even so, they should still fit.

Yep I mean stock wheels , excuse a stupid question but what's back spacing ? Is it sort of how far out the wheel sticks ?

Dave

Yep. The less backspacing the farther out they stick, the more backspacing the farther into the truck they are.

Thanks j602

And Jeeps have a lot of backspacing. The wheels I bought are something like 4 5/8".

Isn't stock BS for an X 4.5"?

Yeah. But these are aftermarket Heep wheels. Don't know what stock Heep is.

Yeah, maybe the guy you bought them from just wanted a lot of BS.

be careful, i have a stock jeep 15" steel wheel on the back of my explorer that doesnt run... well, the rim seat doesnt fit properly as the inner part of the wheel hits my rear drum on my 94......

They fit on my 97 when I tried it.

I'm definitely no expert, but on this forum a couple of the guys toled me that a set of Bronco II wheels I have will fit on an Explorer. When my ex-wife and I were married she had a Jeep Wrangler, I think it was a 95. Those wheels wouldn't fit on her Jeep. I can't remember if the bolt circle was just a little to big on the wheel or a little two small, but I know it was off just enough to not fit on the lugs. These guys on here know a lot more than I do, so If they say it'll work it probably will. I just thought I should relay my experience.

Did BII's ever come with 14s? Cause I know a 14" wheel will fit on the rear of an Explorer... but not on the front.
