Looks like you have all the tools in hand, so you should do fine. Just make sure you secure the bracket to the frame (somehow) and not just to the rusty floor.

the floor isnt rusty..... the truck has been taken care of really well... its just 18 years old, and the seat is kinda worn out...

Now you have a welder? Where was that when you rolled the X? I thought you had to JBweld everything? I wouldn't try the Cross over. The rear X seats are hard as rocks on the butt. I can only imagine that ride in a lowered truck with rear bench seats....
