Ill text chris and see if he has that line and pick it up on my way sat.he is my neighbor

i know theres a wire attached and looped on the starter itself. and the haynes manuel shows a gound wire attached to the starter on the mounting bolt. i know it attached to the engine block, then theres a wire running past that also.

if we cant talk this out ill just take a pic of my wires when i get home lol

there should only be two wires going to the starter

ok pictures of said wires. these are deff correct, they match my old ones except a connector is wrong but all wires match anyway.
i just cant remember how they went is all.

The ground wire is Battery, to Frame to Engine block (not necessarily in that order, but its those 3 things). I remember that since I had to make my own ground wires.

As I remember it...

The middle red wire is Battery to solenoid and to alternator.

The 3rd one is solenoid to starter and I "think" it has the right connections, ring is for solenoid, and spade is for starter..

makes sense, i forgot about the frame. i also forgot about the alternator lol
i posted the starter, theres nothing to connect the spade thing to. but.. the spade is meant for the fender solenoid. the way it came packaged up in the black conduct it was paired with the other one for the solenoid

now im more confused with the alternator lol
the big wire in the 3rd pic makes sense to be alt but its like 4ft long. so that makes me think starter

ok i dug out my old wires and figured it out. glad i save all the old crap
all the labeled items are correct. #1 is frame, #2 is the bigger nut on the starter, #3 is the smaller nut on the starter.
the alternator wire is still in the truck attached to the fender solenoid. (i should get new wire for that...)

now im good lol

i really should get new wire for the alternator tho... ill do that when i get my 200amp later on.

so much for getting anything done. craftsman light bulbs for the craftsman work light i have SUCK. ive gone through 4 bulbs since i started new years. im not putting crazy hours on them either this last one made a big air bubble on the side of it and turned black. i had a spare but its missing.

no light=no work done

You know what they are calln for sat and sun??RAIN!!! :'(

Yea im done.you gota give me a bit though i just got off work!!what all is left? Your going to need a couple hours for the rtv to dry also

im running the y-pipe as is. i put that in, battery cables.

all thats left is, covers, rockers, rods, intake, intake parts, wiring harness, plugs, wires, fill fluids, bolt drivers seat back down.
i could wait and drain the tranny when the rtv is drying. change the filter/gasket.

make sure you bring the non-ac belt! and i need a ring connector for the battery cables. one that fits on the solenoid by the battery, for like 10ga wire, not sure on its size tho. i dont have anything that size

Turn the wire around the other way!!the ring goes on the fender and the other splices into the wire coming off the starter! My belts wont fit, just remember they are all for underdrives,so hope you have your stock one.

Nope i have ac ones that are still for underdriven, in case my hard to find underdriven nonac belt breaks.those where the ones i was thinkn about but totally forgot thae there still underdruven

it runs!!!!!!!!!!!

and it would have started right up right away, but for some reason the inertia switch got popped out. we knew it wasnt getting any fuel, pump wasnt going, and no fuel smell. but 20mins later he came up the the idea of the switch and it started right up!
no idea why the switch got popped out tho.

ill have the videos up soon. its loud as hell! and i like it! :D
3 months and the battery didnt even need to be jumped

ps jd, you didnt want no food? drive-thru food not good enough for you?

I hit the one next to my house! Just keep an eye on your oil, like i said im not a 100% sure i tightened the other plugs on the second head!!!! Pretty sure but not 100%ERRRR
