Its not gold its copper!!duhhh and there is a big difference in the black and that stuff.i might idk have to look.you get that ps on yet?

I dont see why not.the biggest probleem is going to be getting that ypipe out!!!! If i was you i would be trying to get that out every day!! The rest is cake

^^^^ hahahaha

DO NOT LOOSE FLEXPLATE BOLTS OR ROUND THEM OFF!

i didnt loose mine, but i only had two of the four when i went to take them off. both got slightly chewed up, so ok ill get four new ones. went to ford today. $12.86 EACH!! so i got two, will be in friday. so my original two i filed down nice and clean to reuse.
if anyone ever needs them replaced: part # E820222 S72

besides that, got the new crank bolt. and COPPER rtv :P
same process as before? both sides and then of course fill in around the gap on them?

Damn i would have just gone to hardware store and got some grade 8 nuts!!

i dont think i would go crazy on them with rtv, just both sides of the gasket.to much might catch on fire:mad:

yea, it may have been a stupid idea, but i guess i got them now anyway.

im gonna go do the headers and ps now. ill leave the bolt for you since i dont have a torque wrench
edit: ok so the thin lip of the headers and then the head where the gasket touches? making me nervous.... 'catch on fire'....

Thought they was going to do it for you!ps im sick as **** now, terrible head cold!!:(

i figured id try it. i mean it couldnt be hard, but with my luck it was... im gonna bring it to them today.

is there any torque specs on headers? i didnt have directions for them. i put made em tight but not 250lbs pushing down on a breaker bar with face turning red tight lol

now my boss is sayin she'll have to think about letting me take a vacation day. cause we're busy. we are busy, but they'd be fine for a damn day.

so screw that crap. ill just work. if youre feeling better, how about monday and wednesday? after 5(so start leaving at 3ish :p)
put it in and start wiring monday, valve covers and pushrods, intake, etc wednesday, then start it.

good?

Id say just wait till you get the pushrods and build the whole thing then put it in,much easyer to work on out of truck

And your forgetting that y pipe again!!!that is going to be the hardest thing!!!

could do that monday. and tap the new used y-pipe for the o2 sensor.
yes i realize itd be easier to shove it in there with everything on it, air filter and all! lol
but the covers and intake are pretty easy to get to even with it in the truck. just leave the ac line, tensioner, alt off. may work better with my limited time to work on it
