i had to get gas! 10 mins late, big deal!
well. short version: 5hrs later, its in!
long version: motor mounts were not right, alignment holes were off on the passenger side, had to nip it off. all the cat needed was two people. one to hold it from moving and one cutting. plus i think my sawzal was just a hair longer making it not work

could not get it in with the torque converter on. crooked/wouldnt line up right. took it off and fought with the drivers mount cause the pin wouldnt line up. put a tranny bolt through and finally shook the motor into place. and we got lucky, the flexplate lined right up to the converter. putting the nuts in is much easier with two people, but outside the truck is easiest which didnt work. the oil filter had to be taken off cause it hit the frame and wouldnt let the engine go in at first.
i got lucky with the elec fan, i have about 1/4" clearance with teh water pump pulley, didnt have to cut the piece in from the motor. glad i was too broke to buy a more expensive, thicker radiator now lol
pictures:
apparently my vacuum lines are all screwed up too lol
no wonder i had no power and heard an air sucking noise.
note: anyone replacing motor mounts, dont buy the passenger one listed on my parts list if you cant cut the tab off. or maybe i just happened to get a retarded mount, i dont know.
but those things are hard as hell to replace! drivers side: fairly easy. passenger side: very difficult. used the hoist to jack the truck up by the frame just to get enough room
