hey should i add rtv to the headers? i mean due to the weld line there may be even more of a chance of not sealing. it looks like it will from test fits tho.

jd, and just to be sure you said no cork gaskets, meaning solid rubber with metal rings for the valve covers?

You have to use a special high temp copper rtv.i wouldnt use cork!!

NO CORK GASKETS.

^^Personal experience speaking.. :) Fel-Pro makes a pretty cheap and AWESOME hard plastic/rubber gasket. You do need to plop some RTV on it where the head meets the lower intake, but they already have a little cup in the gasket for the RTV to go in!

Also, the supposed "high temp" RTV Black burns and smells like poo when it gets on your headers. Found that out the.. smelly way.

yes, i was saying i ALREADY knew NOT to use cork. i learned that from you :). just wanted to make sure what i should use.
n yea, the rtv included in the kit (solid rubber in a bottle) was meant for the intake part

so youre telling me after all the trouble of going back and forth with the solid rtv, running out and getting the big bottle now i need a different kind? lol so difficult jd. and of course now autozones closed

You have to use a special copper hight temp rtv.and that tag should be good for atleast 50HP!!hah

Don't forget to put all the stickers all over your windows like I did. Good for 75hp and 87ft/lbs.

So says your average ricer.

lool. i have an EF sticker good for 100rwhp, kkm, flowmaster(even tho im running no muffler and a glasspack for inspection maybe)

so i want copper rtv then. ill goto ford tomorrow for the bolt, im gonna see if they have flexplate nuts also, as i only had two to start with that are rounded now.

jd, you said might might have the nut to tap an o2 sensor in?

and further review on the plates, i started saying then aloud, and camed v6 sounds very, very wrong. so cammd v6 it is. $85 for registration :(

Use this brand. Other brands are whimpy

Let it set up real good overnight before fire up.

The drawback is, if you ever have to crack the header away-you need to get it all the way off so the sealer can be cleaned off, and start over.
