That is like asking when your going to die. Kind of hard to give you a good answer. Take care of it, make sure it has enough oil and fluids, and just do your regular maitnance. Lifting it with that many miles isn't recommended, but good luck.

I have 210,000 on my 91 eddie and it is still running with small problems but still running strong. Keep up on all the normal stuff and it should last a while. Nothing fancy just keep up with fluids and bushings, bearings and seals. Keep an eye on the tranny more than the motor.

My '91 has 285000 km and still running strong. And I will be lifting it! Eventually. Too many miles to lift??? Huh??? My friend has a '69 Ford lifted with over 1.5000000 km on it! Sure the motor and tranni have been rebuilt once and I imagine other stuff has been fixed and painted along the way. But even new cars break! Take care of it, change the oil lots, don't pull trailers with it and it'll still last you a while. I figure if you have to put even $1000 into your vehicle a year, that's only not even $100 a month. Way cheaper than new car payments.
Peace

well i just got through putting 4wd in my 92 with 250000 on it and lifted it up. my motor is still strong as ever. can spin 32's no prob. the trany however is a diferent story though. mine was an 5 speed and i lost 3rd gear at about 180000 miles but i drive hard. i hear say that the automatic a4ld realy sucks i hope that it last a wile though because i just installed one when i went 4wd. hope this helps you out.

yes this is a big help to me i have a 5spd in mine and i drive the hell out of my truck. i am going to lift it here in the next couple of weeks. i want to know if there is any good clutches because mine is starting to go out.
thanks kevin

well cant help with the clutch situation i replaced mine three times and it was on the way out agin when i pulled it out. i just used auto zone clutches and kept going back for that lifetime waranty lol

Go with the Ford clutch. Reeaaally expensive I think, but if you get your flywheel turned and line it up properly, it'll last a long time. Eventually paying for itself because you won't have to do it three times. Good luck

The 4.0 ohv is decent motor.. If you overheat it, it will crack heads.. you can get intake manifold leaks which aren't hard to fix...

We have 314k miles on our motor.. I did replace the heads after I overheated it (about 230k miles) .. We still have 160psi compression on 5 of the 6 cyls.. the last one is low (130psi)..

Too many miles to lift???? I plan to lift mine when I retire it from daily driving...
I can't see that being before 150,000 miles, either...
