91 Ranger 4x4 4.0L
I used to be a member here long ago and owned a 2000 Explorer and times have changed vehicles have come and gone and now I own a 1991 Ranger 4x4 4.0L

I was curious about lifts and such. I surprisingly came across this Ranger and didn't think anything of it and it turns out one of the previous owners seems to have done a SOA and put what looks like a 2.5" block in the rear. Not sure about the front as I haven't really looked under there...they might not have done anything up there cause it seems to have a bit of a rake to the way it sits.

How would you guys go about tackling this thing? Would be nice if I could get at least 33's on it. Not really sure what it has on there now I'd say probably 30's

...If you post some pictures and add your location under your name, you may get a bunch of help...;)

...There is also some useful info to be found in the "How To" in my signature...

Rangers are SOA from the factory. And that 2.5" block is probably the factory lift block/bump stop.

Is it your daily driver? If you're willing to cut you can run 33s with a 2" lift. Otherwise you're looking at about 4" to clear.

There ya go, added my location and a picture in the original post. Didn't know Rangers were SOA from factory. Just looking to get a few inches higher I guess for as cheap as possible....even if it means buying used.

You could do F150 coil seats in the front for about 1.5-2" of lift. You can find them for about $25 used to ~$75 new.

...Nice job on the adding and if you add 4x4 next to your truck, you won't get asked in the future...Just trying to help youout..:D

...Nice truck..:biggthump

...And the F150 coil seats are about $70 each now, new......That info can also be found in the "How To" in my signature...BTW, my 95 Ranger has the same rear stock set up...Not the best picture but you get the idea...

Ok so I can get 2" in the front....how about the rear? I'd like to stay away from shackles if possible but I know they don't usually cost much either...last set I bought for my Durango were around $60
