just adding a supercharger

How's everybody, I'm wanting to know is " just" adding a supercharger to a Ford explorer 4.0 v6 sohc what has to done to add the supercharger?

it almost depends on how big of a supercharger you are putting on, and what kind of boost numbers you want to get. member 4pointslow has put a eaton m122 from a mustang shelby on his truck, and is running major boost through it (and insane 1/4 mile times). 2 other members come to mind about supercharging a 4L (dono, and jd4242) but those are ohv trucks. if you stick to a the smaller m90 (rpcaster makes a kit for the sohc trucks) you might get away with leaving everything else stock as long as you dont go above 6 lbs of boost. start going higher then that (or putting on a larger m112, m122 kenny bell or whipple) and you will want to upgrade your injectors, fuel pump, and maf at the least, and will require a retune on you pcm

Now if went with the Eaton m90 would taking off the ac and can I change to electric fans help with adding hp?

Electric fans may help a little but but AC does nothing. It doesn't rob any horsepower unless it's on.

and to add, at WOT the ac shuts off anyway
