love my truck..havn't taken it out to nearby Bronco Peak here in SD yet cause I need to replace those BFGs...bought her for $2600 last week. full suspension lift front and back. she's got an exhaust and possibly headers too
pretty sure it has lockers cause I can hear that locker sound when I turn sharply. shoes are 33x10.5 on 15s, last owner already drilled holes for me on the bumper so I've got some kc slimlites rady to go, and he took the rack.

odometer doesn't work and the engine temp gauge shoots up when I go up hills...so I need to get that fixed.

also there is a spot for a CB antennae on the side there. I was wondering what do I need to do as far as getting that hooked up, cause there's no antennae or radio just the mount.

I've been looking for a rack to no avail as well, anybody know where to get a nice rack? everybody loves nice racks ha ;)

edit: skid plates on everything down under..just had to brag a bit..####in love my truck

nice ex and welcome, surco makes a roof rack for the explorers, not sure exactly where to find it but if you Google search it I'm sure you will. what type of lift is on the truck and what type/size tires do you plan on running?

Every time I see that color, I like it a little bit more.

When I get a new vehicle, I go through a ritual of buying the factory manuals and then going through all the maintenance steps from start to finish. It's a great way to get to know your Explorer, and any potential weaknesses.

One thing I specifically recommend is to remove the plastic flares and check for rust.

I'd break out the question on the antenna and put it in the Audio/Navigation section.

thanks man. I'm not sure about the brand of lift, it has new leaf springs and rancho shocks so I'm assuming he pieced it together cause I can't find one like it online. I'm going to run 33x10.5 bfg all terrains

good advice man..I used to have an Fx4 ranger and I ripped a flare off pretty quick. cool I'll ask that question over there

I wish my wheels looked half that purdy

Those are stock explorer wheels. The same kind I have, just much cleaner and shinier. I've got to whip out the aluminum polish and buffer ball one of these days.

congrads and nice x

My problem is I live in the rust belt.... Out here, even plastic rusts... my wheels are just the unfortunate victims of corrosion, though, they are nice and clean.

for sure...my bad didn't mean anything offensive by it haha

Nice X!

The Surco rack can be had on Amazon for about as cheap as anywhere.

Summit Racing has them too a& depending on the promo they're running you might be able to get it with free shipping.
The model you want is an S4560.

Thule makes a decent one, as well as Yakima.

Food for thought, you might want to consider going spring over axle in the rear to bring that rear up. It might make it a touch higher than the front but from the looks of things not by a lot.

It's a personal preference thing mostly.

Truck looks sweet as-is though, that's for sure. Congrats on the purchase.

HAHAHA atleast yours are "shiny" I have the same ones but some TARDO flat blacked them.... They look kinda stupid like that, but it's JMO.
