hi i made em out of aluminium roding 75mm in diameter cut into 2" pieces, drilled holes to fit bolts,,it was pretty cheap, about $175. there is no rubing at all even at full lock so i was pleased i didnt have to trim,,i reckon i could get bigger tyres on there.

thanks guys, everyones help and looking at all your jacked up beasts gave me heaps of ideas and got me hooked on lifted trucks, cheerz

well i have 2 add a leafs on each spring pack and let me tell you talk about one still ride.. wow
I can not imagine how those with the lowered trucks feel with such a harsh suspension.

Helper springs would never be good for off road situations. They are strictly for towing. When loaded, they stiffen and prevent the spring from moving any more. Definitely not a good idea when trying to achieve more flex.

i am using the regular pro comp one, about to instal it.. but im removing my overload spring..... a little harsher wont be bad, and i do put stuff in my truck a lot.... over speedbumps, i bottom out on the overloads, unloaded, so the aal will help... also adding 4" extended pro comp es3000 shocks....... i will have the aal plus 2" lift shckles and i have no rear flex at all, most likely due to my shocks....

load bearers are made to flex with the leaf in turn assisting them when carrying a load, the leaf is still doing most of the work, iv found with them on the ride has improved on road and off! they also help in cornering as i had to remove my sway bars off the rear when i lifted it, but hey im a noob and its just my opinion! JIMABENA, why is it ok for you to put 2 links in every post you do? i made 2 links in 2 theads and i get hammerd for it?? whatz up??

Getting into arguments is much worse of an infraction on this site than posting in two forums... I merged the two threads. Next time, PM the poster and notify a moderator or myself to take care of the double post. Arguing on the Internet is like____ Just use your imagination to fill in the blank;)

???????now i have 2 of the same links in the 1 thread??????? i didnt think by putting a link to my pictures in a thread that it would be affecting explorer forums bandwidth or costs,,,, iv posted my piks on ford forums where i am a member so shouldnt they be paying for it??? im only linking it not acually posting my piks on explorer forums.any membership i might have considered paying for with serious explorations is a distant thought now that people on this site have shown there true colours!!!.One more question, why is ok for someone who owns a toyota and posts piks of a toyota in there sig (JIMABENA) to be part of this site? i thought this site was for ford truck owners, mayby i should go to a toyota forum and post piks of my Explorer, im sure they would appreciate it!

Jim used to own an Explorer, or something that somewhat resembled an Explorer. He and all others are welcome to participate on this site as long as they follow the rules. One of our rules is no double posting. Find a forum where your info fits and put it there one post per subject, that's just the way it is.

ok no problem il be good from now on, i really like this site and i dont want to stuff it up.By the way your truck looks AWWWWSOME!!!

i used to have an explorer, my current toyota has several parts from my old explorer..
