I just order my SCT XCAL3 from James Henson and henson performance. Has anyone delt with him before? Am I in good hands, I'm not going to get screwed over right?

Thanks for the help!

We've done a bit of work in the past with Henson in my pre-Ex Mustang days, and everything has always been great for us- stand up guys.

One more question though.

Am I actually going to feel the difference? Is it going to gain power or is the driveability just going to be better?

you are in good hands!.i bought a xcal-2 from him last year.he gave me 3 tunes programmed with it.you get around 11 hp. and like 8 lbs. of torque.so it says on the site where the applications are for certain vehicles.thats what it says for 96-06 explorers.i had mine re-tuned by another sct dealer a little while after getting it though.i did a bunch of data runs(data logging) and sent him the info from my truck.then he went through all of it and really dialed it in.but james and henson performance is a great company to buy and use from.i know they are the same :D the dealer i used after james was a guy named adam out of new york.he also was a sct dealer.i found him on a forum and we started talking and next thing you know we were working together on tunes for my truck.

James is a great guy your in good hands. There are some power gains, but the driveability is a lot better. I would pay for the tuner just for the transmission tweaks, I like the nice firm shifts so much better than waiting for it to decided if it was going to shift or not, and then doing it slowly to try and make it smooth which never worked for me it just felt weird.

How much quicker are the shifts in your opinion? My boss's powerstroke shifts so fast it's almost instant and I want my shifts to be pretty much equal to that.

i got all my shift points up 25% each.since thats the most i can go.but when it shifts it does do it pretty fast and i really like the 3rd.shift. it does put you back a bit when it shifts.

I hope this thing hurry's up and gets here already!!!
