I just bought a K-N replacment filter for my '99 explorer sport.....now im hearing about some sort of K-N filtercharger injection thing?....could someone please explain what it is and what the "injection" part means...thanks......
Unfortunately, K & N uses confusing, perhaps even misleading terminology. Their "Filtercharger Injector" doesn't INJECT anything! It only provides less restrictive air intake than the stock assembly. The Filter Charger kit simply replaces the stock air box & filter with an oiled woven mesh air filter and aluminum adapter with a built-in velocity stack.
