has anyone used or heard opiniond of those K&N filters? I just saw them, that not on the bottom seems nice, but usually it's pretty tight in there, cool none the less. Opinions?

I'm sure Aldive will have some thoughts. He uses a lot of high quality premium oil/fluid parts. I believe he had a thread on different oil filters. One thing, stay away from FRAM. I've heard bad news about them -- but I guess as long as they warranty the filter, you can get your vehicle fixed if the oil filter doesn't work right and blows the engine. K&N seems like a great product, but just too expensive for me. I use Motorcraft or NAPA. Whichever is closer to my hand.

my family has used Fram as long as I can remember. Never have the filters caused us problems. Seems on the cars we have owned the engines out last everything else on the car. :-P

I have used K & N oil filters as a full flow oil filter as well as the filter on my external tranny fillet adapter.

The filters are excellent and very well made.

You will not go wrong using one.

Good luck .....
