Naww the truck ain't offensively loud... Then again, my dad thinks his Gibson is offensively loud in his 5.0 Mounty... While pulling with a load on the motor (up hills), there is some interior resonance, but not enough to kill your ears or anything. But with the added power, I don't need to wind it up as much, it just lopes along in the 2-3k range. And as soon as you get to speed and back off, all resonance stops. There is no drone on the highway ~ which was my biggest concern. I can handle noise in the city, heck I hold it in gear around campus :-D
I actually think my mileage is going to improve b/c of A) the dropped rpms at speed, and B) I don't need to step in as much.... But then again, I DO step in to hear it... so maybe not... Keep in mind, it is a very low restriction muffler, so there is some trade off with the power. But as my friend says...
