Keep factory subwoofer

I want to change my headunit and keep my factory sub. How i can do it and did i need something to do it

You'll also likely need a voltage regulator on the turn-on wire so the factory sub doesn't "pop" on turn on. It doesn't do it in every one, but my last 3 Fords have.
