Key Fobs and TPMS not working

All of a sudden my key fobs stopped working from outside my 2009 Eddie Bauer V6. They work inside and from outside right by the window. At the same time, I’m now getting a TPMS Error and solid low tire light. Had new tires with new TPMS sensors installed recently so I know it shouldn’t be a bad sensor. Went back to the tire store yesterday and they said the module is shot.
I am wondering if the key fobs and the pressure sensors use the same module and is this something I could replace myself or is this a dealer issue only? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It is probably a long shot but have you tried changing the batteries in the fobs? You might try relearning the TPMS modules.
