I just bought a 2000 XLT used, and I dont know what the door code is. Does anyone know how to get this code? Is it on the vehicle somewhere? Thanks,

if you go in the trunk - in the compartment on the drivers side, i think theres a sticker on one of the parts in there thats kinda tucked away towards the front of the compartment, but im not 100% sure. if you do a search, youll find your answer, i think someone was asking the same thing not too long ago.

hope this helps.

The code is on a sticker on behind the drivers side panel in the back where the jack is. I had to partially remove the entire panel to pull it out enough to read the sticker, which is on a white box that's about 4x4inches. I've heard of others able to see it without removing the panel but the box was mounted right up against the panel so there was no way to see it w/out removing enough fasteners to pull the panel out slightly. Now I can put that $65 a year that I usually spend on locksmith's to better use.

You might need a mirror and/or a flashlight to see it.

Not to mention a flexible neck and body.

Mine was located on the back of my glove box.

Open box... squeeze sides together.....let it flop down and there it was.......

Hope you find it

If my little brother hadn't gotten jelly all over my X-Ray glasses I could have used them!!! You're DEAD Joey!!!!!!!!!!!!

mine (1999) was on a card that was tucked in a pocket inside the owner's manual (in the vinyl cover)
