Keyless entry opening other Ford

Today I was parked beside a Ford Expedition at the supermarket. When I came back I pressed unlock on my key thingy and I heard the usual sound except the doors wouldn't open after taking a look inside the truck the lights were not on.

I look beside me and the expeditions lights were on. I press lock and it locked the expedition. Anyways I did it for 2 mins because it seemed funny to me and my GF but after the laugh I needed to get into my truck. Only way I could get in was by using the keyless entry digital key pad on the side.

Has this happend to anyone else? and how do I fix it?

Also this does not happen with my dad's Ford Expedition.

not to me.. but we have been successful on MANY occasions at opening friends explorers simply by punching away at the keypad randomly. scary.

I haven't heard of the key fob trick, that is odd. I have opened friends expos with randomly beating the key pad, that is funny. Then they did the same to mine, so I guess it wasn't that funny then, lol

ya gotta figure...there are only so many codes. the remote for my uncle's saturn works my ex....but not vice versa (i was only given one remote when i bought the truck). each remote emits a sequence. the alarms are programmed to the remote...but there are only so manycombos of teh sequence that can exist (for some reason, they dont just keep going)....thus, every once in a blue moon, you will find a doop.

My wife drives a 95 Taurus and I have a 95 Ex Limited and both door combos start with 1-1-x-x-x. Is this common??? I plan on changing my base code on the GEM at some point. It would be nice to setup both cars on the same code. And not the one that came from the factory.

The key also works to unlock the door! Don't let technology make you forget about the 'old school' way.

Reprogram your remote(s). It should show how in your owner's manual.

I got a better one. The key from my 95 xlt would start my buddies 95 eddie bauer. His key would not start mine though.
