Keyless entry

My 98 explorer sport didn't come with any keyless entry fobs when I bought it (vehicle was bought used).

How can I find out if the vehicle is equipped for the remotes?

I'm pretty sure if you have a keyless entry keypad on your driver's door then you can program the fobs...

It doesnt have the keyless system with the numbers on the door, just trying to find out if the remote openers work with it, the way it reads in the owners manual, they all came with them.

Check this link it may be of some help. You can enter your vin and it may give the answer. If not, for my 94 it gave instructions on that site where to look for the keyless control (think it was back by my rear washer bucket) maybe they have instructions you can follow as well. It's worth a shot.
