Could someone give me the parts number or just a link to the proper Kn filter that you drop in to the stock box? I plan on doing this mod tomorrow if I can find the proper bit. 1/2" sound good?

i just did it and this mod destroys the phrase "you get what you pay for". this is the best mod you can do for free. i highly recommend it. it sounds deeper and louder. and you can feel a power gain.

I did a similar thing to my 91 only I don't think there is a silencer. I drilled a few 1/2-1" holes in my air box and had a K&N in there. It defenitly made it louder and made it a bit peppier!

Its not the best solution in the world, but for 10 minutes of time, and cash for a K&N filter or free with your current filter. its a pretty cool mod

just dont forget to disconnect the battery, cause it helps reset the computer somewhat...

ya i disconnected my battery a few hours later but there was actually a noticeable difference. i already had fram air filter in there but i think a might get the k&n next. will that make a difference too?

if the FRAM filter is just a regular paper filter, then i suggest putting in a K&N filter...

but since you have an 02' you could just buy a true intake...

i just wish they made something for the 04-05 V6...

your paying for a name yes, but your also paying for precision tuned parts, and dyno proven numbers. I think the K&N intake for a V8 is like + 10 HP/TQ...
