I have a 98 sport, v6 SOHC. I was interested in getting the KKM true rev, I was just wondering if anyone who has it, can tell me if its worth it. Are there any problems, and does it improve performance noticably. I don't have any other performance mods yet, but im working on that...

If it is between K&N and KKM, go KKM. I have one and I have no complaints.

What about the sound. Does it make it much louder. I want to keep it as quiet as possible, and nothing annoying sounding.

I have a KKM and it's great. The sound it not loud at all, not like a new exhaust. I'm not sure about power gains, but I got about a 1 mile per gallon increase. That right there is worth it to me.

The sound is noticable but not offensive. It sounds like a powerful motor.

Does anyone know if adding the KKM True Rev like violates the factory warranty. I have an extended warranty, up to 75,000 miles, and I currently have like 39,000 on the truck. I just don't want the Ford dealer giving me **** about it. Also what about inspection. I live in NJ, does anyone know if there are any problems with inspection on this mod.

as far as i know, you will not get in any trouble with warranty UNLESS the damaged part is something they could blame on the KKM, if i were you, i would get the KKM, if anything goes bad..... put the stock one back in!! i have a K&N with a modified box, the dealership didnt notice/care when i took it in for warranty work

I have had my car into the ford dealership a bunch of times and they have never said a thing to me. I have actually had one of them say that they liked my KKM once. So as far as I know inspection and service, etc... there is nothing to worry about. Sound wise, after the first time you drive it you probably won't be able to even hear the difference.
