As you all know, I have a '93 limited. I have searched a lot on Konig rims. Does anyone out there run Konig rims on a gen 1X? Do you have to drill out the center hubs for the front? Are spacers required? I am looking at mounting winter tires on the stock 15" rims and purchasing new rims (16") and tires for the other seasons. Currently I have the baby tires (235/75/r15).

Konig wheels

I have a set of Konig flight wheels in 18x8 with 265/60/18 Falken tires. I do use some custom machined spacers and have had no problems in 44,000 miles of very agressive driving. Here is a link to some pics, check them out and let me know what you think, i need to update some things but you get the idea.:D

Nice rims. That's sort of like the ones I was lookin at.

Konig makes rims primarily for front wheel drive cars like Hondas and Saturns. They do make some RWD rims, but I think the smallest one they make is 18 inch. You may want to look into another brand.

I have a pic of 20" Konig Imagines on a 02' Explorer, looks pretty sweet.

I don't think they make them in 16" though...

Don't go with Konig rims on an X. All your doing is setin yourself up for problems. Just my $0.02 cents. :D

Whats wrong with Konigs on an X? I have 40,000+ on mine with no problems and i drive like a maniac. These wheels are very durable and i like the way they look. I do not understand why you would say to stay away from them. Please enlighten me.

There is nothing wrong with Konig rims on an X as long as they are RWD.
