I recieved my L&L mounts yesterday, and I went to garage to test fit them, and I am stumped.
Are they supposed to be a total Bolt in?
Because for me, they are not.
The installation instructions/directions I got were among the most pathetic thing I have ever seen:
From in the vehicle's engine compartment, install mount base. Do not torque bolts until engine is set in place.
Photo #2 (note: NO FRICKEN PHOTOS ON THE PAGE....No "Photo #1, 2, 3...NOTHING!)
Install top section of mount, See Photo#2 (again, NO PHOTO!) Do not torque bolts until engine is in place. Now install a remote oil adapter (L&L part # 040180) on the engine before lowering into place. Use a large nail or punch to align the engine mount sections install 3-3/4 long horizontal bolt. Torque all remaining engine mount bolts.
Note: on Pre 1988 4WD vehicles, it may be necessary to drill a 1/2" hole in Frame if 2 bolts are to be installed in engine moun base.
THAT IS ALL I GOT. I have gotten better instructions with a Happy Meal Toy!
This is ridiculous. For $175.00 I should have gotten something better than this crap.
I am installing it into my 1992 Explorer 2WD.
I ordered #030302 which is for 2WD RBV's. But I think I needed the 4WD kit. #030304.
