whats the largest drop in alt you have seen for the ford explorer 4.0?ohv engine.
i see 220amp alts on ebay in a 3g case .i have a high amp 3g now but i,m wondering if theres anything rated higher than 220amps in a 3g case?

does anyone make a extra alt kit for the ford 4.0 ohv engine?
has anyone ever added a extra alt to a ford 4.0 ohv?

i had a 92 explorer with a 4.ol ohv and a high output alternator from mean green. it was like $300.00 but i believe it was like 250-300 amps.and i added another link you should see.heres the links-

thanks..i bookmarked that and sent them a email(meangreen)
i bought my last high amp alt from "sea manufacturing " out of FLA but they done have a website anymore or sell on ebay where i first ran into them .

they boasted this alt spun like 280 with a overdrive pulley but i cannot confirm this.it has been a good alt but i think i,m starting to hear bearing noise so i,m starting to look around again .

anyone else?thanks...

has anyone ever retrofitted a leece alt in a 4.0?
