leaf spring bushing sizing and suppliers

^ See the topic Donalds linked and my post in it. AFAIK yours use the same bushings but to be on the safe side you might want to wait to see if anyone else knows differently, or just measure yours and see if they match what is below:

Rear:

A-Outer Diameter:1-1/4 inch
B-Outer Steel Sleeve Length:2-9/16 inch
C-Overall Inner Sleeve Length:3 inch
D-Inner Diameter, Bolt Size:9/16 inch
IF above is true, Can use Energy Suspension 4.2124 kit for polyurethane bushings.

Front:

A-Outer Diameter:1-7/8 inch
B-Length:2-1/2 inch
C-Length:3 inch
D-Inner Diameter:.551 inch (14mm)
IF above is true, Can use 3.2125 for the front bushings by leaving the outer shells from original bushings, still in the spring

I know this is an old thread, but I just found this

^ Welcome to the forum!

Those are kind of expensive at $143 (plus S/H?), and I'd be more comfortable knowing the dimensions.

Thanks!

Agreed. I was looking into the OMECS042 leafs myself, but I may just run the Dayton 1250lbs to bring my saggy springs back to stock height and they come with bushings anyway. Going to do an SOA in the rear and SAS up front later this year. Easier to do with a baseline height

Nearly another year has gone by and noone has resurrected this thread... I figured what better way to kick off July 4 than spending hours searching for definitive and contradicting info and reviews and sharing... So after a front and rear suspension "refresh" the rear still squeaks. I believe I have it narrowed down to the rear eyelet of leaf spring to shackle bushing. From what I have gathered, Energy Suspension kit 4.2124 has all 3 bushings that fit 91-94. Given the ARB OME CS042R are for 91-01 Explorers then this kit should work on 2nd gen as has been discussed alot. However some say they need diff bushings for front eyelet. It has been many years since I installed the leaf springs and I had ALOT of help from an ex Ford mechanic. Energy Suspension and ARB arent able to assist with any part numbers for 2nd gens etc. Energy Suspension did provide their one distributor info that sells bushings seperately from the kit. They also have a "whats in the box" list of part numbers supplied to them by Energy Suspension. Under 4.124 kit it shows bushings as 2061, 2086, and 2089. Energy Suspension advised the 2061 are "Main Eye"-assume front, 2086 are "Shackle Bushing" assume rear leaf to shackle, and 2089 are "Frame Bushing Shackle" which I assume would be rear bushing shackle to frame. This is somewhat contradictory as the 3.2124 uses 2076. I can get past all that as we are talking about a 30 year old vehicle, not alot of demand, and certainly not alot of research and or design going into this anymore. I also dont want to buy the entire kit and piece out what works when I am currently only going to replace the rear eyelet bushing to shackle. I already bought the rear swaybar Energy Suspension kit, and only needed the sway bar bushings (replaced sway bar links with Moog and their new made in Mexico chrome version-thats another story). I found the 2086 bushings in kit 2.2110 which is listed for older Wranglers. Hopefully they fit and arent too much trouble to replace. Will include some links, DST suspension is listed under various names like suspension .com, energysuspensionparts .com, and others, they are all DST based out of Texas. The actual Energy Suspension company is listed under teamenergysuspension .com, this is my first time using energy suspension product and they seem to be really high quality. I had already replaced the front sway bar links with Mevotech TTX otherwise I would order the entire kit. DST rep is going to try and list the "5390" bushings on their website so I dont have to buy the entire front sway bar kit and save some coin. The 5390's are just the bushings currently not offered separately. Here are some links and late thanks to all who have provided info to this thread.

This is DST website for leaf spring bushing kit, tabs in lower left for part numbers of individual parts under "In the Box"

Another mystery 4.2128 which has "2051" bushings listed which are not in the above kit.. says for "common" shackles...

All actual Energy Suspension company shows as for 2nd gen Explorers

And dont forget if you want the bushings in Red add R to end of part number, if you want them in Black, well then add a.... G
