Leaf springs

While my rig may be under the modified category, my rear leaf springs are not...still running the stock springs (now over the axle). They're sagging though and almost flat and need replaced.

Found a place (sdtrucksprings.com) that has four different options under two different categories; spring over and spring under. I'm guessing the spring over is actually supposed to be for Rangers, but I'm not sure...good prices though (hoping what I need is the $76 per spring)..

Anyone have specs on the OEM springs as far as arch goes? Hoping to get them soon to get them swapped out...I've searched Google and the forum for answers a few times and haven't found anything...

For the 4 door in your pic you want the top one. The second is probably for Rangers as you said, the 3rd is for sports, and the last is only the AAL.

Well, at least it's a decent price...still searching other avenues...

I'm on a budget and want to get the best deal I can, but I don't want old springs or to re-arch these as I've never heard anyone say that the new arch held for an extended period of time...

You could get longer shackles...but I think if my springs were almost flat I'd probably replace. I've never heard of re-arching working for long. For $76 that seems really good.

I (still) have on order the Old Man Emu leafpack but it's pricey. If you're just looking for a basic OEM spring then places like 1AA Auto or the typical places (rockauto, 4Wheelparts, etc.) would have them.

Detroit / Eaton spring can make you a custom pack but that's a lot higher than $76. That's really cheap. I didn't have any experience with that company you linked to.

Well I'm already SOA, so its not that I need lift, I'm just looking to replace the worn out springs.

New springs make all the difference and is worth the price and will last a long time. I'm very surprised the difference it made on my truck. I'm running a SOA from Ruffstuff.

Well I think I found what I've been looking for and it's good news for my wallet and anyone else that needs new stock springs!

Contacted a site for a shop in PA (found a reference to it in another thread) and they asked for the spring code on my door tag...I happened to be sitting in my truck during break time at work and saw the code; U. Emailed them back and 5 minutes later got another message saying that it was the most common and they had a set for $285 (pair).

This helped immensely.

So I did some more digging...Dorman P/N 929206 on RockAuto listed the specs on the spring; Spring code U, 4 leafs (3/1), 4 13/16" arch height, SRI #43-967 , OEM #F1TZ5560A , $189.79 ea. Cheapest set on RockAuto (Husky Spring P/N 43967) is $112.99 ea.

SDTruckSprings.com model #43-967 lists at $76.95 ea. Same specs, bushing included, OEM #F1TZ5560A .

Michigan TruckSpring model #43-967 lists at $75.95 ea. Same specs, bushings included, OEM #F1TZ5560A .

SO...a new set of springs will be coming my way at some point in the near future for less than $80 a pop. Gonna check the two sites for prices on shipping to see what the better deal is.
