I replaced mine on the rear when I had the diff. pulled out when I put in new carbon fiber clutch pack, you need to pull the cv half shaft, basicly remove the wheel, brakes, and knuckle that holds the wheel bearing, and you might have use a pry bar to pop out the cv joint out of the diff, then its just a matter of poping out the old seal and getting the new installed straight.

It'll be a PITA to remove. Just work at it for a tad..obviously you can destroy it.

Did you add in the clutch packs or was your set up originally limited slip??

You can't add clutch packs to an open carrier...he'd have to have had a LSD already.

yeah mine already had the LSD mine was chattering(shuddering) when I would take off, so I just pulled the whole thing out and put on the work bench it was a lot easier that way.:D

How did everyone know he was referring to the rear axle, rather than the front? Can't the front axle seals leak too? imp
