I have a leaking rear brake line, its the line that runs from front to rear.

Ive done some reading and from what I understand the best thing to do is buy a new replacement line, cut the old line at some place. Then add a screw flare it and join the two line. I have a few question.

1. Where is the best place to cut the line? The leak is right by the tire. It looks really tight all the way down especial by the tank.

2. Would running new line from front to back be a better option?

Thanks

PS I posted this in the wrong thread earlier.

If you don't have enough room to get a flaring tool in there it seems like the only option would be to replace the whole line.

probably easier to just replace the whole line. line is pretty inexpensive. if your old line was leaking because it rusted, also a good idea to replace the hard line that goes across the diff. this line is very prone to rusting and leaking.

thanks... i had replaced the one over the diff a few months ago looks like ill replace the whole thing looks pretty straight foward
