Leaking trans (bummer thread)

Ok, my stepdad's Ford Explorer limited 1st gen (kinda mine as i am the only one who uses it , and takes care of it) just got it's tranny busted some time ago, it just leaked and leaked and leaked...

Sooo we got a another one! It just got installed a few days ago, thursday I think...


So you want the good news.... now it's leaking

WTF? I am so pissed....

Is this a common breakdown, cheap to fix? Easy? Heeeelp

Which area is the leak coming from? How do you know that it's the transmission, and not one of the cooler lines? Could you put your Explorer's information in your profile?
