Could you be more specific as to which seal is leaking? IIRC, there is a front, rear, and shift motor seal (if that applies to your model).

Pull the transfer case and replace the seal. It is no small task. I just had the front seal done on my 04 Ranger last month when the clutch was being replaced.

Did you ever replace the seal on your transfer case ?
I noticed mine starting to leak.
Bought the seal already.
Not sure how to remove the shaft to replace the front seal
on the transfer case...

Welli, are you working on the front, or the rear? The rear can be done under the truck, but on my 4405 with the cup flange in the front, that requires a complete tear-down of the case. Your model may be different.

Front Transfer case seal starting to leak

The leaky seal is the front one. It appears that I need to disconnect the drive shaft from the front differentcinal and unbolt the yoke. I just wanted confirmation before I tacle this job. The leak just started but I do not want my transfer case to run dry...
