I bought a 2000 XLT in Feb. that came with a leather steering wheel cover. It is in new condition and I would like to keep it that way. Is there a cleaner / conditioner I can use to keep it that way? And, how often would I clean it?

You can keep the cover on it, and it will look new. But when you drive, your hands get oil and sweat on it, which eventually wears it out. My is starting to show wear from this. I wouldn't recommend using any cleaner such as armor-all or other leather treatment because you don't want a slippery steering wheel.

Try Eaglo One leather conditioner. I have not been able to find their separate conditioner, which was a cream. I don't like any spray on conditioner. The cream is thicker, and lasts longer, if you let it set on for a while. I am almost out of my original container. It works great on all leather, except suade. Good luck.

Use Zaino Leather Cleaner. Do not use the conditioner though, it will leave it slippery. The cleaner will remove the oil and dirt from your hands on the leather and leave it nice and clean and keeps it from cracking. Use when leather cover starts to shown signs of being dirty about every 3 months.

I use armor all leather wipes for mine, just don't use it while your driving or if ur leaving within the next 30 mins, becuase like someone before said it does make it slippery for a little bit. they work nicely though
