It blinks rapidly like it would if a bulb was out... but it's not. Both front and rear bulbs illuminate, but at high speed.

The right turn signal works normally as does the hazard flasher.

What could be up with that?

You have the original bulb type in there, not an LED ? Sometime`s they are fussy, LED for example will also set that hyper-blink off such like a bulb-out would..

Thanks for the input.

I removed the cover below the steering column, then before touching anything, I tried it again: you guessed it... it worked perfectly.

The harness enjoys comfortable slack in all tilt positions. I even did the wiggle test; I could not get it to act up.

So, I guess all I can do is wait and see if the problem returns.

Ha! found it

It was a bulb after all.... or rather, a broken prong in one of the front sockets.

It took me until now to figure out that there are TWO bulbs in each front light assembly, not one. Silly me.

That's me... investigate the more complicated stuff first, then if that fails, have a look at the simple stuff.

Haha, good to hear that you got it fixed.

Oh, and there's actually 3 bulbs in the front. 2 function as turn signals/parking lights. And one is just a parking light in the very top corner! :)
