I've searched around a bit, and I know that's always the first response, but I didn't find what I'm looking for and I've got to make a decision fast.

I found a lift on a '85 Bronco II in a junkyard. Its got red powdercoated springs, so I'm guessing its a Skyjacker. I don't know if its a 4 or 6 inch. Is there any way to tell? It's got '35L' stamped on the radius arm drop brackets if that means anything?

I'm planning on swapping in a disk brake axle too. I found a 3.73 open (which is what I wanted so I don't have to regear the front right now, and I can throw in a mini-spool.) But, its out of a 2wd sport, build date 07/00 (2001 model I guess). Is the sport axle the same as a 4 door? And 2wd the same? I didn't see any difference. The other thing that confused me is that the sport had actual leaf packs, not monoleafs?

If you experts have any information or guidance, please help me out.

I'd strongly advise NOT using a mini spool, they fatige and will fail, I'd suggest a lunchbox locker such as an Aussie or lock-right. Sport axle is the same, my sport parts rig also has a normal sploder spring pack minus the overload leaf. Lift, I'm not sure, maybe measure the brackets and springs compared to a stocker.

I've got an aussie in the front and I like it just fine. But, this truck is not going to be driven on the road much, I've got a car trailer now, so I'm gonna go with a minispool for $100. Just the cheap, easy, and most effective way to go. If I still wanted a street truck, I would've just rebuilt the limited slip in my current drum axle.

Another question, What do I need of the parking brake cable off of the disk truck? Intermediate cable? What exactly is the intermediate cable? And I guess I need one off of a 4 door, not the sport the axle is coming from?

If you want cheap, weld it, mini-spools are known to fail in 8.8s. For the parking break I would imagine use the cables on the disc axle and use your original cable on your frame.

Just measure from bolt to bolt on the radius arms drop brackets, easy. I'm pretty sure the sport's intermediate cable is shorter than the 4-door's

91ex, you're running about 8 inches of lift now? What size tire? you name is 37's but your signature says 35's. I'm going to be about there after the spring over and front lift. I can't afford to regear now or buy new tires, so I'm sticking with 33's for now. I'm just going to try to make it flex REALLY well.
