Hi..
1992 1st gen XLT...for my mild build I want to put some 33x10.50's KM2's under it, maybe build some sliders, maybe build a winch bumper...and that is it!

So to the 1st dilemma - the body mounts need replacing as the body is sat on the frame LOL
Do I use stock mounts or go with the 3 inch body lift ?
Will 33's fit with a straight 3 inch BL, or will I need to do a 2" lift as well?

Or is it better to go stock mounts and a 4" lift ?

I'd love to hear you opinions, thanks :)

You can do a 2" suspension and trim the fenders or do a 3" body lift that will get you into 33's. 4" suspension will definitely get you there.

This is how mine sits on 33's with a 2" skyjacker and trimmed fenders:

thanks. so the trimming is just on the front fenders ?

Yes, you trim the back side of the wheel arch. Better picture below. Rear tire is stock, front is 33x12.5x15. You will rub at full lock on the front swaybar, but doesn't hurt the tire or the swaybar. No real way around it unless you change to a more positive wheel offset.

To note: You will need new body mounts. The bodylift pucks sit on top of those if you want to do a body lift.

ahh good catch on the body mounts, thanks !!

I've done a Spring Over Axle in the past, and I'm now considering no body lift, and doing the axle flip.
My reasoning is to get the low hanging hardware up to give more ground clearance.
So that should give me 5" in the back.
What are the best options to bring the front up ?
I'm thinking Rough Country 4" Front and Rear Suspension Lift Kit seems to have everything I need, and I've just not use the rear leafs that come with the kit. I'd probably need spacers with that too?

Thoughts?
