I was wondering what is good to even out the front?? what do you guys think of coil spacers?? im going to wait till i put on the shackles first and see how much it needs evening out but all your advice is welcome and will definetely help. soon as i get this figured out ill put on some 31's or 32's! yeah!!

i would go with the 2 inch skyjacker coils then go get it aligned

I have a set of the Ford coil spacers off the 2wd. F-150 on the way as well as a pair of shackles. Do a search on coil spacers to get a description and the part #'s for the spacers if you are interested in going this route.
By the way if you deside to go this route, when you talk to Ford, the spacers are actually called "spring seats." The idiot's at our local dealer flipped when I called them spacers and immediatly told me they carried no such product (even though I had the Ford part numbers).

you might want to check into the adjustable camber bushings also, had to get mine from skyjacker...

??

By adding shackles and coil spacers, will this achieve a cheep/easy version of suspension lift? Are you planning on adding a body lift after you're done? I JUST bought my 91 navajo and have no idea if I want to do a suspension or body lift, or both. Do you guys have pics? Suggestions? How much are we talking for coil spacers and shackles?

You can check mine out below, details of mods on page..You might want to do a search, this has been a hot topic the last couple of weeks..

well im still not sure spacers or new coils??
someone mentioned skyjacker 2" coils, how much do those run??
well for now i plan on this minor lift just to fit some 31X10.50 tires.
knowing myself ill soon be wanting a 2-3" body lift and some bigger tires.
Also i was wondering if when i do either the coil spacers or the new coils
will i need to get the adjustable camber?? or will the alignment from the
shop be good enough??

u will have to get the adjustable bushings because your stock bushings are not alignable enough if u just take it to a alignment shop they will have or be able to order the bushings for u and do the whole thing

the coil spacers and shackles will net about 1.5-2 inches of lift for under $100 bucks if you install it yourself

I just called ford and they told me the coil seats were 15 bucks a piece and the can overnight em for a couple bucks more so I would have them the same day my 2"Bl comes in the mail...I think I might do it and go with the autozone shackles:) Oh man I am so gonna regret this.......

So true. It just never ends.

BTW, cool door skin...

hehe....It wasn't such a good idea parking next to me after all....hehe..Yell if you need a hand.

well i finally got my shackles in today and if my schedule permits ill try and get them on today or tomorrow. i sprayed WD40 all over in hopes that after over night soaking i may be able to break free those nuts but im sure it wont be that simple. One of the joys of life i guess. Anyway i thnk most likely i will go with the coil spacers to save some money until ill decide later on what i really want to do with the rig. anyway can anyone tell me about how much i can expect to pay for some adjustable camber bushings?? and what does installing these entail??
happy wheeling!!

alright!! i got to put my shackles on!!
the first one was a pain in the butt and took me two hours because it did not want to go on and the second one went on in about 30minutes. It turned out to be much easier than i thoght it would.

I was very impressed with how much lift i got out of it. i did a bunch of before a after measurments. with the warrior 153 i ended up getting about 1 3/4" almost 2" when i only expected to get what warrior said at 1 1/4".
i guess i got a lucky bonus??!!
is this just from manufactoring tolerances like some people get more lift out of it or what??
anyway now i have to decide on the front.

now ive pondered another option for the front. i dont feel like buying new taller coils, so its either spacers or an air lift which is the air pocket that goes inside the spring, or adjustable air shocks.
the air pocket thing that goes inside the coil sounds hoaky and cheap but im going to try it and ill let you all know how much it sucks or if its allright. I assume no heavy duty off roading with that though.

but i do want to ask has anyone ever tried the airshocks. they are an adjustable air shock which you can raise the vehicle up to 2" and you can adjust it to whatever hight you want but goign to the gas stattion or any air compressor and filling them up with the valve. has anyone tried this???
i was looking to buy them on the web but i could only find them for the rear???

any info would help.
thanks!

you aint kidding...I just finished the BL and all I can think about is "How will this look in comparison to Mike's?" Arrrrg!! Oh well its getting there..BTW thanks CHH777-25669foitaa39 (did I catch a niner in there?) heh heh just kiddin... Thanks for the compliment on the door panels...But Im probably changing them again(they were blue hawaiian) To TAN Hawaiin to match the soon to be installed tan hawaiian/diamond tread alum. headliner.....it NEVER ends....

well ive got the tires on now to match the lift, i put on a set of 31X10.50 on my stock rims and it looks great!!!
ill get some pictures on here soon. I havnt even touched the front yet and the tires fit fine all i have are those warrior shackles, however i hope to lift the front as i am plannign a trip this weekend and i dont want the front end to rub, im going to go ahead and put in the air springs that go inside the coil and see how they work, im not expecting too much from those but well see.
ps if anyone can give me some help with posting pics it would be much appreciated!! thanks

i'm thinking i might get some of the coil spacers myself. if i can really get a bout an inch and a half, i should be able to run 31's with little to no rubbin, no ? anyways. i'm with you on the regret part, i know i'll have to break down and get a bigger lift someday =/

i gotta say, forums are probably the most helpful part of the internet, but it makes me spend large amounts of cash ;)

thanks,
jeff aka Lamah

well lamah actually i decided not to do anything to the front. after my shackles went on the front was leveled fine, i got lucky though that the 31s fit with out anything other than shackles i have not rubbin even with full turn. only thing was very very minor rubbing in the back under complete full compression but nothign to worry about. you shoudl test fit some 31s and see if youre as lucky as i was. by the way check out my befroe and afters on the band after forum.
