Since I have a 2wd '03 sport you guys suggested that i get some spindles for 3" with a TT for 2" for the front and then a soa for the 5" in rear.

How will all this stuff wear? Because I'd like to go awhile without having to replace anything. Like will anything ever go back with the soa? I always here about the wear to the torsion bars and such so I was thinking that I should either just go 1.5" and since it looks like the rear is a bit lower anyway that might make it even or just go without the TT but then I'd have to do the shackles and aal for the 3" in the rear instead of the soa for the 5". Is the soa 5" or nothing or just adjusted to whatever you need?

Basically I want to go with the option that I can run for the longest period of time without having to worry about much wear or problems. So would you guys suggest the 3" option (without TT but with shackles and aal) or should I stick with the 4.5"-5" option?

Much appreciation goes to all you guys that know your stuff about explorers.

do the soa, and the tt/spindles.....

the soa moves the springs above the axle instead of below it, it is not adjustable, you get about 4-5" because thats how thick the axle tube is... if your current springs sag, they will still have that same sag once its lifted......

so the only issues with the soa is saging but that'd be the same as if it was below the axle anyway, is the ride quality still alright with the springs ontop? what i was worried about most was the TT, I dont want a lot of damage and wear to go on with those components. but would that only happen if it was at around 2" or so?

The ride quality is the same w/ SOA, and it rides great. A 2" TT is fine and should not cause abnormal wear. Since you're 2wd, you could even go 3" without problems.

thanks, that's good to hear, but reading some of the other threads/posts on here it seemed like different components involved in that seemed to be the things that wear out the fastest.
