as of now i have 2" coil spacers , 2' drop down shackle in the back and 2" body lift... i am gettin a superlift kit from a friend and he has the full kit for the front end but he did a spring over in the back... Is the only way to do the spring over is to weld pourchs onto the rear? Also since i will have a total of 8"s of suspension lift will i need a bigger drive shaft and will i have to wedge the rear for the drive shaft? Thanks

No the superlift soa brakets dont require welding bit is suggested. I still havent welded mine.you probably will need a longet drive shaft with that lift.i have soa and aal and mine would pop out, went 3" but i think i may have gone to much.they make spacers for mustang's that fit,may work for you

Ya i think the drive shaft spacer will work thanks

Im gonna need to drop the front drive shaft to... will the spacer work with that to?

I dont think so.i still run my stock shaft up front.

I'm running a 4in rough county
With SOA conversion and drive shaft spacer stick drive shaft
Front driveshaft no modification needed but extended brake line need
But if your doing all that work in the rear I would suggest you upgrade to disc brakes in the rear

Yea but i have 2 more inches on top the 6 inches...

I'm certain there is a drive shaft shop close to you. I think you are going to have to have it lengthened. I can't tell you how much, but you'll have a good idea when you finish the lift. It will probably run you about $100-150.

Now i wana run 35's when summer hits.. what gear ratio do you guys sugest? Mind i do plan on have this to drive on the street not long distance bout half hour ride or so tops? I was thinking 456s.

4.88s atleast

I have 4.56 with my 32. It's a little deep for the highway. If I had 33s or better 34s, I think it would be perfect. You might find 4.88s a little low for the highway, but you'll love it off pavement.

He's wanting 35s.i wouldnt go any less than 4.88s especially with very little highway driving.

Ditto. 33s and 4.10s arent steep enough for me. 4.56s would be better for most people and 33s. 4.88s and 35s is a good combo for most. If you dont do > 65 much then you could even go 5.13s. Pinion strength on the 5.13s "might" be an issue.

Agree.he said its an offroader and going to drive short distances.i have 36 and its about the same or little less than stock,5.13 would be alittle much but really what this heavy truck needs especially for an offroader

8" lift is a can of worms

The driveshaft will be fine for daily driving, but the spline contact is at it's minimum. There are vibrations from the transmission side u-joint, to solve it you'll want to locate a double cardan shaft from a 96 explorer sport and have it lengthened. Weld the perch's in an angle, no wedges needed.

The steering's something you have to address, they are undriveable at this height, there are no off the shelf options of any quality. Search 'Saggy *****', or crossover steering. There are a couple alternate steering options, but I can't vouch for them.

The sway bars are a must to avoid the high speed death wobble.
