Hey guys, I want to lift my 91 sport, spacers are the easiest way to lift the front and I know how to do it, my question is this: my friend says that buying an add-a-leaf would give me 4 inches of lift (with just a 2 inch add-a-leaf), is this true? He says that I have to take the leaf springs on it and simply set them on top of the axle, I am not particulerly convinced that will work or if it is safe. Now I drive no less than 20 miles a day on the interstate so I only want to lift it about 2 inches. Any advice on this would be awesome, thanks!

if you SOA (spring over axle) you'll get 5-5.5 inches of lift in rear with no lift in front leaving you having to find your own lift brackets and what not to get front to match. if you're not against body lifts the easiest way to get the lift you want is body lift. i know theres a 3 inch body lift for the rangers that the explorer guys use ALL the time.

i believe what your friend is telling you to do is an soa. but with a 2" add a leaf it should only give you two inches of lift when you put it in the leaf pack
