Do you have the part number for that 2.5" spring pack?

I don't remember what the part number is and I can't seem to find any information on it online, but I'll see if I still have the receipt at home after work today.

Holy crap!!

Ah, it's on Pirate, I saw it on eBay's garage but couldn't see the build thread from there. He's graduated from 42's to 54's.

That Trac is a beast but would be useless around here, can't drive it on the road and it way too big for any trails or terrain. Just saying.

That thing is somethin for sure. Lol. So my update: 3" body lift is on!! The lift was successful took the better part of two days and a lot of swearing but the beast has risen finally. I'll post a couple pictures tomorrow, was up until 4:30 this morning getting it into driveable condition so I could go to work.

Rear bumper still needs to be raised and front valence put back on, plus I need to figure out why my licence plate lights arent working. Next week I'm going to replace the bushings because stupid me didnt buy new ones in time for the lift and my old ones are BAD.

Oh and if anyone is curious what happens when the drive belt contacts an A/C hose when the engine is started I can now answer that for you :/

Thanks for the support from everyone and lots of awesome write ups. OffTrac your bushing replacement guide is probably the only reason I succeeded in getting the rear body mount bolts out. Super excited to be put back together and heading for my 35s.

I'm going to have to follow that guy's build. Sounds like he's fabricating just about everything from the frame up.

Dauntless76 - Glad to here that most of the body lift is done and went well. Hopefully you didn't use to much loctite so that you can get the body bolts our easy for the new body bushings.

I spend way to much time, over and hour, making a permanent fix to keep the AC line from coming in contact with the belt.

Pics or it didn't happen!!!! :D

Yeah, the only thing Sport Trac about it is that he is putting the body on it.

Alright so after a quick trip to the ER last night after I got some metal shavings in my eye I'm back to being able to put some pictures up lol.

I'll do minor pictures here but going to add a body lift build to my registry for anyone that wants it.

So without further ado the lift:

The rear-most bushing in the cab. Thanks Offtrac for getting me thinking of how to grip this with vicegrips. Saved me, pretty sure about it. Those two SUCKED.

As you can probably tell the rear bumper hasn't been raised (I just did that last night I'll get finished pictures today, and the front bumper hadn't been cut so it wasn't on straight. Fixed that yesterday too and earned my trip to the ER. Sometimes goggles are just a good idea. Stupid stupid me.

Thanks for all the advice and info guys. Got me there finally :) Bushings are going on next week sometime. That oughta be a lot easier than this was. My back is still sore.

Good to see you're almost done. Take it easy til you eye heals. I've have plenty of metal shavings, shards and grinding sparks go in my eyes over the years with and without wearing safety glasses. The worst by far is "welders eye", trust me you don't ever want to get that, every drop of moisture is dried up from your eyes and it's like rubbing a wire brush on your eyes.

Dauntless76 - Looking good man!!! Are the tires in the pics the 35s you mentioned previously?

What headlights do you have? Anzo? How do you like them?

They look good guys.

I'll keep an eye out for your truck whenever I'm in Ames, Dauntless!

No these are 265/75/16 BFG ATs. I like em a lot only wish is they were wider untilI get to my 315/75/16 duratracs.

They are Anzo headlights and corners and I continue to like them. They look good both in the sun and at night lit up because its a clear lens.

I'm probably the only person in at least 100 miles with a lifted ST. Guess I would be surprised if I ever ran into any in Iowa even. If Midnight or Offtrac ever rolled into town the yuppy idiot (who I finally met in Advance Auto last weekend) with the F250 with a stack would go hide.

Thanks for all the encouragement. After all the work under my truck I decided to put 35s on hold probably until next summer so I can replace the front suspension with Moog parts first and maybe find a way to strengthen the steering column. Bought a Scangauge 2 today so I can start monitoring my tranny temp and an aux cooler will prob go on before the 35s so I can limit my trans wear. If you guys have any other thoughts on things I ought to upgrade/replace prior to 35s let me know.

Oh and I almost forgot I want to regear to 4.56 and throw in a locker too. I see some Minnesota and South Dakota wheeling in my future if anyone ever wants to meet up.

I see a set of Anzo headlights in my future, they look amazing and seem to be quality.

Those 265/75/16 BFG ATs do look pretty good. I currently am running stock tires on my st and they look small in my opinion. I think the biggest size I will go is 285/70/17 (33") for now. 35" aren't that much bigger, but I would like to regear to 4.88 before going to 35s.

Post some pics when you finish the body lift!!! :D

My body lift is done. Only thing I still have to do is put the plastic fender wells back in the rear to cover the frame body seperation. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I really like 285 look. Midnight's with 285 bfg ats was what really sparked my want for a lifted trac. The 315/75 duratracs mounted will only be 34.1" or so, so I think I can regear to 4.56 and be dandy. There is some debate on 4.88s really fitting.

I love my bfgs. Theyve taken me everywhere I've asked them to go. Only wish is for better rain handling. They hydroplane like a ***** at times in heavy rain but they are damn near bulletproof so its tradeoffs.
