My wife's 2000 Explorer gate won't open. The handle popped loose from the assembly. There is a plastic bit that threads onto a threaded rod, has a bit that sticks off 90 degrees, when you pull the handle this plastic bit is what attaches the handle to the assembly.
I need this little yellow part. Anyone have a clue what it is called and where to get one?
Just for background I've been working on cars since I was a kid, done everything but transmission internals and rear end internals.
I think it is part number 5ZLV7, I'd like confirmation if anyone else has dealt with this and any possible improvements on this design.
Thanks!
