Hey everyone. I have an 89 cavalier 2 door. I really hate how low it is, and have never been a big fan of cars. Me and a friend were talking the other day and wondering if there is a possible way to lift it alittle. This way I could put some all terrains on it for the winter also. What do you all think?

-I know this is a very crazy and strange idea

How high are you wanting to raise it?

if it runs it would be a better idea to sell it to me for like $400

and pocket the $325

like 4 or 5 inches

If you do find a way to do this, make sure to take lots of pictures.

Why would you want to do this? Just leave it the way it is. If it rides too low, you probably just need new springs/shocks.

psh, lets see some fender trimming

I seriously doubt you can raise a car 5 inches, and if you did with the larger all terrains it would be super gutless.

I have seen in 4x4 magazines where people have dropped an Escort body on a Ranger frame... how they did it I don't know

seen camaro's on s10 frames and such, how bout sticking it on a s10 frame?

i've seen a Fairmont put on a bronco frame :D

could i drive it from you to minneapolis?

what is so bad about it?

i'm serious that if it runs and shifts at all i can get the money together.

nothing really bad about it, I just need money right now. It is an 89 cavalier 2 door, grey....the clearcoat is coming off on most of the car. It has the 2.0L motor which I put in about a month and a half ago. Has an automatic tranny. Car has about 160k on it. It runs rough when it is idling, but it is because there is not enough backpressure in the exhaust. There is a hole in the passenger side floor which can easily be fixed by welding a piece of metal over it. The interior is kind of rough. The headliner is ripped all over. It runs great though and doesnt leak any oil. There is a small coolant leak which i dont know where it is coming from, but leaks very little. It can easily be driven from here to minneapolis. Minneapolis is only about an hour from here. I have driven the car about 2k miles in the last month, and it will easily make the trip for you. Let me know if you want any more info.

This would be so sweet for you to customize, and redo the interior.

Thanks,
Andy

dude- i will seriously buy it

$400 sounds good to you? it sounds like you tihnk it is worth less. a good running car is worth 400 to me for sure, no matter how bad the condition so long as it is street legal

got any pictures? not that i really carea bout the shape of the car...

I dont have any pictures right now. I will take some in a couple of minutes, but I hafto leave for work in about 20 minutes. I will try to get them up, or I will get them up tonight for you. Will you be on AIM tonight?
