lighted running boards

has anyone tried these or have a recommendation for something like this. I saw it on e-bay and thought Id try them.

those look like they stick out way too much... however the navigators and expeditions have been using stock ones like that for several years...

does any model ex have lighted boards? Is there any way to use the ones from the expedition. Thanks for your help.

My 2001 XLS has lights on the boards, but not the ones that aim "away" from the truck if that makes any sense.
