We'll like the luxuary cars are starting to do, just wondering if you could do the following. Like lexus and a few other lux companies, they make the lights turn the direction that you turn in, and could you do an HID conversion kit w/ that?? What would a set up like that cost!??? thanks for any info, just thought it would be interesting to see, everyone on here amazes me w/ the mods they do!! I dont think it could be done but my buddy says it could be done w/ out going to a custom shop!

Are you talking about the little corner lights that light up (not amber but white) to illuminate the side for "safety". If so - those could easily be hooked up to your turn signals somehow - you would probably have to get it the wire from your turn signal stalk to your GEM so you would get a steady signal instead of a "blink, blink blink". Hope that helps

^^ no hge means the lights that turn when the wheel turns....BMW and lexus have them i think......im not sure how you would get them on an x pull the head light assemply of an Lexus ora Beemer and then get a pair of exploer headligts and try to stuff them in.

No, he means the bulbs that actually move inside the housing. Hella makes some aftermarket ones I believe that have that feature. Why not just get a brush guard or bull bar and put a set of those on it? Much easier than messing with your stock housings.

Oh yeah, I've read up on those plenty of times. Adaptive Headlights are what they are called. Rotate up the 15 degrees in each direction. Anyhow; you will be spending a LOT of money on that mod. Also, there will be need of motors or solenoids that'll adjust the headlight and you would need to change to projectors. Unless you plan on somehow moving the whole headlight which would be ugly haha

^^^^ you all ARE FREAKING BRILLIANT, yeah w/ my lack of tech knowledge, i know how it looks and all just not good at relaying it for you all to read. Yes the lights turn i belive 15degrees to the left, and 10 to the right? the whole light turns,, i think i would have to get a whole new front assembly and lamp for the sport. Might get alittle costly in this process!! Glad you all knew what i was trying to ask. But you still could do HId kit as well??

you should do a hid kit and stick those hellas that turn on your bumper or brush guard. all set for alot less complication than making your stock headlights turn

The turning head-lights are not that new at all
Its a idea they took from the old citroen DS that was introduced in 1955 (my friend in holland still has one )
Those french cars had standard adjustable hydropneumatic suspention and since 1968 it had turning hi-beam headlights
The high-beams were connected to the steering system with cables and turned with the wheels

a little history of that car u can find here : http://www.citroen.com.au/cms/?action=article&ID=20463

the US-Version of the front side with turning beams

for a little sidetracking , the car could even drive on 3 wheels because of the automatic leveling system

so far for my contribution :)

That Citron, was way ahead of it's time, and honstly still is ;)

Didn't guys ever here of "Tucker"?

They also had turning headlights if I remeber right...and 3 lights :D

now he was a man way ahead of his time!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think only the center headlight moves on the Tucker. I think the original Tucker design was to have the two outisde lights move, but by production they had changed it to only the center light.

^^ very interesting story, thanks for the info,,keep posting if you all have any other ideas,!! txs,,,
