Lights went dim, ABS & air bag light came, died & left me stranded

Ummm, maybe.

What I did was pull some parts from a few explorers and hide them under the torn up trims in the back of a rolled 97 v8 for when I was ready to grab them--

I might have got my stash mixed up--sorry

Do you mean "Stashed them, then went back on the 1/2 price tuesday to check out?"

Could the cluster be killing alternators? I do know the one I got yesterday was working as I had them bench test it before I left.

I'm going to put my old one in just to see if it makes a difference. There is a salvage yard close by that has an alternator for $55 just incase I fried the one I just got yesterday.

I was looking at the schematic of the charging system and I don't see how the IP could affect the alternator. It just lights up the light if the voltage is too low, if I understand it correctly.
